Go! Sign has invited a Deaf speaker from Denmark, Jan Tausen Zachariassen, to preach the Word of God at our Go! Sign Festival Day 2010.
There will be an exhibition of Deaf and Christian organisations so come and see for yourse1lf. Why not come and meet other Deaf Christians and share how God is working in your home area?
The aim of this conference is to call all Deaf Christians and friends together from all over the United Kingdom to celebrate, praise and worship God our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, to hear the Word of God through our Deaf guest speaker and other performances. Please bring your own lunches.
Here is a bit more about Jan... he was born on 6th January 1952 on Faroe Islands. He went to Deaf School in Copenhagen from 1959 to 1962, then to a special school on Faroe Islands from 1962 to 1968. He was born again in November 1967 and was baptised on 29th November 1967. This is what Jan says about himself: “God calls me to work among deaf people since 1977, and did lots of journies around in Scandinavia and Denmark. I married Anne from Sweden on 27th October 1990, then we moved to Denmark in 1996 and work among deaf people there. In 2001, we went to DOOR International Training Centre in Hungary and graduated in July 2002. I was a teacher from 2002 - 2005, then we moved back to Denmark and live in Copenhagen. I’m the leader of DKF in Copenhagen, and also in EDCA board since as a treasurer in 1997.”
