A previous deafchurch.co.uk areticle about www.buzz.org.uk which been developed by and for deaf young people aged 8 - 18 with the support of the National Deaf Childrens society stated we could find no BSL on the site. We are delighted to report THERE IS a tab that enables viewing of signed video
Nicola, an 18-year old deaf young person, said: "The buzz website really unites deaf teenagers and children across the UK and helps you make friends before NDCS events and stay friends after as well.
"I found out about other deaf teenagers following their dreams in the articles on the website. It shows me that you can follow your dreams and your deafness will not stop you," said Nicola.
A consultation with almost 1,500 deaf young people revealed that they want access to more information and advice, and 75% want to get involved and help create the information themselves.
www.buzz.org.uk includes details of exciting events across the UK, stories about other deaf young people, the latest news and reviews, free games and important information and advice on everything from bullying to the environment. Deaf young people can also use the website to find and contact friends in their local area.
Deaf young people aged twelve and over can join www.buzz.org.uk. Members will receive a free t-shirt and some exciting Buzz products, as well as regular updates about latest news and events and the opportunity to scoop some great prizes.
