Guidelines for Churches when Deaf people Attending

Based on a leaflet issued by The National Deaf Church Conference of the Church of England
- Deaf People need to be seated where there are clear sight lines both to the Sign Language Interpreter and the main "action" of the service. If there is a Loop System, they should be seated within it. It is always advisable to ask a Dear Person where he/she would/should be seated as background windows/lights can cause their vision to blur when their eyes are focused on the Interpreter.

John Kitto is remembered as the compiler of the best Bible Encyclopedias up to his time. Ironically, it was a tragic accident which prepared the way for his fame.
